• Chacha’s Rawal Pindi Chhole Bhature Is An Experience To Enjoy

    I can’t wait to write this quick Blogpost, I have to. Had this unique Chhole Bhature as part of my own #2ndOctober #Food Exploration #KamlaNagar, Delhi (other food items we tried in this walk to appear seperately). You ask anyone in the vicinity and you will be instantly guided to this hole-in-the-wall shop. At around 930 this morning, three of us, Govind, Sanjay and me, reached Chache Di Hatti in Kamla Nagar, Delhi, famous for serving Chhole Bhature. There were already 8-10 people waiting but there was no sign of Chhole, No Kadhai (wok) was ready with the oil to fry, No preparation to serve. So ?  (more…)

  • Ever Smiling Chef Sankara Serves Flavourful Punches At ITC, Dakshin

    DC73E829-5C70-446E-AD69-C5239E665B8DI had met Chef Sakala Sankara of ITC, Kakatiya, Hyderabad online and often exchanged notes. . Then a few days later, we met in the hotel and recognised each other instantly. This ever smiling Chef strikes a chord with you in no time. He invited me to Dakshin, a South Indian restaurant in the hotel, where he has curated a “Chef’s Special” menu of Telangana cuisine as part of an ongoing festival. I had to and ,now I feel, I would have regretted if I missed that evening. It was a South Indian rare treat which is a story of symphony of flavours.  (more…)

  • This Is Fishy…..Literally

     

    Yes !! It is Fishy. 

    I love fish and whenever I get a chance, I would love to have it and would love to try different variations.  Now don’t ask me which fish.  I don’t know. I can’t tell the difference between Basa and others. I can’t tell the difference between river fish and fresh water fish.  I don’t have the skill to buy fresh raw fish.  I know I could be laughed on by many a foodies, particularly Bengalis, but that’s a fact. Actually, I love the preparation and the taste of the meat. And that’s what matters to me.  Let me bring to you some of my Fishy Experiences. (more…)
