Last week, I was in Guangzhou, known as the the manufacturing capital of China. Even before I left, my social media timelines started saying that soon the platforms shall have food experiences from there. Very natural and obvious expectations. Let me tell you that I had gone there for work and that took priority. Food? Yes, we had to eat so, during my stay of about four days I enjoyed, hold on…Italian (yes, you read it right), Vietnamese (right again), Fast Food, Chinese (obviously) and Indian too !!!! Magic Of Flavours

If you like colours or aromas or flavours, this read is for you as it has all the three. In fact, the Lunch I recently had in Mumbai had all these and left me asking for more and more. I have a liking for Parsi Cuisine for its uncomplicated and yet very amazing flavours. I don’t miss a chance to go an eat in an Iranian Cafe, whenever I could. Mumbai has a sizeable Parsis and quite a few and famous Irani Cafes (I am still to try out a few more). Most of them are pretty old or iconic, if I may say. A typical Irani Cafe has that whiff of an colonial interiors, high ceilings, a basic wooden furniture, those typical red check table covers, glass jars, basic wooden furniture and an overall warmth the way you are treated. And of course they have that Parsi Cusisine. Then there is Soda Bottle Opnerwala, an Irani Cafe, which has married the tradition with modernity and in turn what comes out is simply a great experience. A few days ago, in a gap of just 24 hours I tasted two versions of Mutton. The recipe of one is complex as it uses almost 30 spices to prepare and the other one is basic with the usage of minimal spices. The recipe of one is a secret and is known to a closed family group (though attempt has been made to reach quite close and we shall discuss this later) and yet the other one is public (yet not very popular). Both are almost Street Food types and yet both are heavenly flavourful. One is our very own Delhi’s legendary offering and the other one is from Peshawar.
